The panel
The cuts
Say roughly how many pieces you want. A cut runs right across the panel and every piece is a region the cuts enclose, so pieces arrive in jumps — not every number is reachable. It lands on the nearest and tells you which.
Left is all straight — straight cuts and polygons, every edge you can score and snap. Right is all circles — sweeping arcs, with concave edges to groze on the pieces around them.
Set the cuts by hand
These cut the panel the same way a circle does — a triangle slicing across gives wedges and shards a circle cannot. The straight-sided ones leave straight edges you can score and snap. Ellipses are the exception: they curve, so like circles they leave concave edges on the pieces around them.
Big circles whose centres sit near or past the panel edge give long sweeping arcs. Small ones sitting well inside give contained rings.
Where cuts cross close together they leave slivers. Anything under this is counted and called out rather than pretended to be cuttable.

Printing
Set the scale to 100% and turn off “fit to page”. Every sheet has to come out at true size or they will not line up when you tape them. A 50 mm check box prints on the first sheet — measure it before you trust the rest.
Trim the white margin off each sheet, line the corner marks up with the next one, and tape along the back.

What to cut
How this one works
You are not placing pieces here, you are placing cuts. A few circles and straight lines go across the panel, and every piece is simply a region they happen to enclose. A lens shape appears because two circles crossed — nobody drew a lens.
That is the difference between this and the Curve Maker. There, no two curves ever cross, so the pieces are bowed rectangles. Here the cuts cross each other constantly, which is what produces lenses, crescents and segments.
Fewer cuts give bigger, calmer pieces. Every cut you add multiplies the regions, and crossings that land close together leave slivers — those get counted as too small rather than quietly listed as cuttable.
